After School Activities

Inez is A Community School!

A Community School is both a place and a set of partnerships between the school and other community resources.
A Community School’s focus on the integration of academics, health and social services, youth, family, and community engagement and development leads to improved student learning, stronger families and healthier communities.

Community Schools develop and strengthen partnerships between schools and the communities they serve. For more information please click this link below for the Bernalillo County website on the community school program.

Enrichment Classes for the 2017-2018 school year will offer students of all ages a variety of intentional, extended learning opportunities.

ONLINE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.  Enrichment Classes at Inez are scheduled to begin
Tuesday, September 4th.  A backpack flier will be sent home with enrollment instructions and class
offerings.  Members of each class are selected using a lottery system. Class lists will be posted at school approximately 1 week prior.  Additionally, families are notified by email, so please check for this
information (sometimes our emails get routed to your "junk" folder).

Gap scholarship no-cost extended care may be available on the same day(s) your child is registered for enrichment classes (for those who qualify.) You can apply when filling out the online Lottery ballot.

Snack provided before every class.

Classes begin at 2:30. It is expected that students stay for the entire class time. All children report to the Kindergarten Quiet Area picnic tables for snack and sign-in. Classes end at 3:45. Children must be picked up at the classrooms. Please bring your ID for pick-up until the teachers get to know you!  Anyone picking up your children should be included on the Registration Form. Childcare is available following Enrichment Classes on campus through Children's Choice. Students may not walk themselves home after enrichment classes due to
safety concerns per Inez Elementary and Children's Choice policies.

If your child will be absent, please call 299-9010 x31710. If your child has 3 unexcused absences, he/she will be dropped from the class to allow a child in from our waiting list.
